Ford's current 2025–2026 Maverick accessory sensor kit is a 433 MHz application and includes an activation tool. Ford lists a different TPMS kit with its 2022–2024 Maverick wheel package. A wheel that physically bolts on can therefore still trigger a TPMS fault if its sensors use the wrong protocol, are not programmed for the application or are not activated.

Ford Performance kit M-1180-E is explicitly listed for the 2025–2026 Maverick. It contains four valve-mounted snap-in sensors, rubber stems and an activation tool; Ford warns that failing to install and activate them leaves the warning lamp on.

Ford's earlier 2022–2024 Maverick wheel kit instead names TPMS kit M-1180-B. That is a hard warning against treating take-off wheels and their installed sensors as automatically compatible across the 2025 boundary.

Compatibility snapshot

Wheel setDecision
Original wheels on original truckKeep sensors unless service or battery condition requires replacement
2022–2024 take-offs for a 2025–2026 truckWheel geometry may fit; sensor compatibility must be changed or proved separately
New winter wheels for 2025–2026Use a documented 433 MHz Maverick application and activation/relearn procedure
Programmable multi-frequency sensorThe shop must program the correct protocol before relearn

Frequency alone is not the whole answer. Match the valve type to the wheel, confirm the sensor clears the drop center and brake hardware, use the specified service kit and torque, and verify the programming tool has current coverage. “433 MHz” on a marketplace title does not prove the sensor broadcasts the Ford protocol expected by the truck.

Programming and relearning are also different steps. A programmable blank sensor may first need the Maverick application written to it. The truck must then learn or activate the sensor IDs. Ask the installer to verify live pressure from all four corners before the seasonal wheel set leaves the shop.

Bottom line

Treat TPMS as a second fitment layer after the wheel itself. For a 2025–2026 Maverick, a current Ford 433 MHz kit is the clean documented baseline. Earlier take-off wheels can still be useful, but budget for the correct sensors and activation.

For the wheel dimensions themselves, use the Maverick bolt-pattern, bore, width and offset guide.
