Privacy Notice

This notice explains, in plain language, how DoesItFit handles information while the product is pre-launch. It should be reviewed by counsel before public launch, particularly after analytics, server-backed AI answers or feedback collection are enabled.

Information you provide

If you create an account, our Ghost member system collects the email address you use to sign in. If you use the AI Assistant, you may provide a vehicle year, trim, parts you own or are considering, budget and question text. Do not include sensitive personal, payment, medical or government-identification information in a question.

How the product works today

The current pre-launch assistant can retain setup details in your browser so the interface works during your visit. The article-feedback interface is currently a front-end prototype: it does not yet submit feedback text to a DoesItFit server. When server-backed answers or feedback collection are introduced, this notice will be updated before those features collect data.

Account and site operations

Ghost provides our member signup and sign-in flow. It uses passwordless email links for member authentication. We and our infrastructure providers may also receive technical information needed to operate and secure the site, such as server logs, browser information and IP address. If Ghost first-party analytics is enabled, it may record aggregate content activity to help us understand how the site is used.

How we use information

We use information to operate the site, provide and improve the product, secure accounts, respond to support requests and communicate about your account or updates you choose to receive. We do not sell personal information.

Guides link to manufacturers, retailers and other sources. Those sites have their own privacy practices. We add referral parameters to external guide links so DoesItFit can measure traffic it sends, but those links do not include your account email or vehicle details.

Your choices

You can choose not to create an account or not to provide optional vehicle details. You may ask us to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, subject to applicable law and operational requirements, by emailing hello@doesitfit.ai.

We will update this page when product data practices change. The date above shows when it was last revised.

This pre-launch version is not a substitute for legal advice. Before production launch, confirm the responsible legal entity, retention periods, vendor list, international-transfer disclosures, applicable privacy-law rights and final contact details with counsel.
