17 vs 18 vs 19-Inch Wheels for Ford Maverick

For most Mavericks, 17-inch wheels provide the best tire selection, sidewall protection and ride. An 18-inch package can balance appearance and sidewall. Nineteen-inch wheels suit factory street-oriented trims but leave less tire cushion and demand more careful tire-size, load and clearance matching.
Wheel diameter alone does not change vehicle height. Tire outer diameter does. Moving from a 17-inch wheel to a 19-inch wheel while preserving the same outer diameter requires a shorter sidewall.
