IDENTIFY BASE OR B&O BEFORE BUYING A SINGLE HARNESS

The base and B&O Maverick systems need different upgrade plans. A base-system owner can begin with vehicle-specific speaker adapters or a plug-and-play amplifier harness. A B&O truck has a factory amplified A2B architecture, so adding an aftermarket amplifier requires a compatible integration interface for the exact model year.

A physical speaker that fits the opening can still be an electrical mismatch. Low sensitivity, unsuitable impedance or poor signal integration can make an expensive speaker sound worse than the factory unit.

Factory systemSensible first stepUpgrade caution
Base audioFront speakers with correct adapters, then assess bassDo not assume every harness supports every year
B&ODefine whether replacing speakers or adding amplificationFactory amplifier and A2B signal need system-aware integration
EitherAdd sound treatment while doors are openKeep drains, clips and airbag wiring unobstructed

PAC lists different AmpPRO generations for older and 2025+ B&O Ford applications. That split is exactly why “fits Maverick” is not enough: confirm the year and factory system in the current application guide.

Compatibility snapshot

CheckRequirement
SystemBase/non-amplified or factory B&O confirmed
YearInterface explicitly lists model year
SpeakerDiameter, depth, impedance and adapter verified
HarnessCorrect connector and polarity
AmplifierInput signal and turn-on strategy documented
FeaturesChimes, prompts, fade and factory controls retained as needed

Bottom line

Base audio is the simpler speaker-first path. B&O needs an integration-first plan. Start with the VIN/build configuration, then choose the interface and speakers as one compatible system.

If the screen itself is the problem, read the Maverick factory-radio replacement guide.
