Ford Maverick trucks comparing cab-height cap, mid-rise cap and open-bed configurations

LEER AND A.R.E. HAVE MAVERICK APPLICATIONS; SMARTCAP DOES NOT CURRENTLY LIST ONE

High confidence · Last verified 27 Oct 2026

Choose between a current LEER or A.R.E. Maverick-specific cap by height, windows, access doors, roof reinforcement and dealer support. Do not order a Ranger, Tacoma or “similar-size” SmartCap for a Maverick: SmartCap's current North American application navigation does not list the Maverick.

LEER's current catalog includes Maverick-specific fiberglass models, including the 180CC mid-rise commercial cap for 2022–2027 trucks. A.R.E. lists Maverick-specific V Series cab-height and MX mid-high applications, plus commercial DCU configurations. SmartCap's North American vehicle list currently covers other mid-size trucks but not the Maverick.

A hard cap is not merely a box with approximately correct length. Bed-rail contour, cab angle, rear-door shape and clamp locations are vehicle-specific. LEER itself warns that similar dimensions do not make caps transferable between truck models.

Bottom line

Shop LEER and A.R.E. through their current Maverick configurations and local installers. Treat SmartCap as unavailable until its own application guide names the Maverick and exact bed. Never let a reseller's “should fit” override the cap maker.
