Ford Performance/Mishimoto vs CVF Intercooler for Maverick
FORD/MISHIMOTO FOR STOCK-LOCATION, 50-STATE FIT; CVF FOR VALUE AND LARGER CORE
Choose Ford Performance by Mishimoto M-6K775-MAVU for a documented 2022–2026 2.0L installation with no vehicle modification and 50-state approval—but not Hybrid or Tremor. Choose CVF for its lower price and larger core only after accepting required plastic-shroud trimming and confirming bumper/tow-hook fit on your exact configuration.
The Ford/Mishimoto unit fits the stock location and publishes comparative efficiency, pressure-drop and temperature-rise data. Ford explicitly excludes Tremor because of its high-clearance bumper.
CVF lists 2022–2026 2.0L fit, a core more than 240 percent larger than stock and a lower purchase price. Its own instructions say plastic shroud trimming is required. “Direct fit” therefore does not mean “no modification.”
Compatibility snapshot
| Product | Result | Required check |
|---|---|---|
| Ford/Mishimoto M-6K775-MAVU | 2022–2026 2.0L non-Tremor | Not Hybrid; stock bumper envelope |
| Same unit on Tremor | Does not fit per Ford | Unique bumper conflict |
| CVF 2223MAVIC | Listed for 2022–2026 2.0L | Shroud trimming; confirm trim/tow hooks |
Bottom line
Ford/Mishimoto is the lower-risk street and warranty-conversation choice. CVF offers more core per dollar but asks the owner to accept trimming and more application diligence.
Pair cooling changes with the Maverick EcoBoost intake comparison, not unsupported power assumptions.
