2022–2024 vs 2025–2026 Ford Maverick Trailer Wiring
DO NOT ASSUME A PRE-REFRESH HARNESS FITS 2025–2026
Use a trailer-wiring harness that explicitly lists your exact Maverick model year. A 4-way supplies basic trailer lighting; a 7-way/brake-controller installation is a different system and must be designed for the trailer and truck configuration.
The 2025 refresh is a verification boundary. Similar tail lamps and connectors do not prove that converter logic, plugs, power routing or body control behavior remained unchanged.

etrailer's current 2025 recommendation names CURT C59DR for a 4-way and Tekonsha TK95VR for an OEM-replacement-style 7-way path. Those part references should not be transferred backward or forward without the current application page.

Powered converters need their specified fused power feed and ground. Do not substitute an unpowered splice because the lamps appear to work during a driveway test. Protect the harness from exhaust heat, sharp edges, water intrusion and the spare-tire path.
Bottom line
Treat 2022–2024 and 2025–2026 as separate application groups unless the harness maker explicitly spans them. Select the connector by the trailer's lighting, brake and auxiliary-power requirements, then keep the truck's factory towing limits unchanged.
