Will a 2023 Tacoma Roof Rack Fit a 2024+ Tacoma?
Verify fitment with the merchant before you buy.

DO NOT ASSUME FIT
Do not move a 2016–2023 rack to a 2024+ Tacoma unless the manufacturer lists that exact part for the newer truck. Similar vehicle names do not prove the same mounting points or roof shape.
Compatibility snapshot
| Rack application | Fourth-gen verdict | Required check |
|---|---|---|
| Exact rack part number is listed by its maker for both 2016–2023 and 2024+ | Transfer only as documented | Confirm cab, roof features and current installation hardware. |
| Maker publishes separate third- and fourth-gen rack products | Do not transfer the older rack | Buy the generation-specific 2024+ application. |
| Marketplace listing says only “Tacoma” | Unknown | Find the manufacturer's exact part-number application. |
Separate product listings mean separate racks
Prinsu sells one rack for 2005–2023 Tacomas and another for 2024–2026 Tacomas. That is a clear sign that model year is part of how the rack mounts—not just a label on the product page. Compare the 2005–2023 listing and the 2024–2026 listing.
What to do instead
Keep the older rack only when its maker supplies an adapter or an updated application guide that names your exact truck. Otherwise, choose a rack listed for the fourth-generation Tacoma and confirm roof features before ordering.
Bottom line
Generation-specific fitment wins over visual similarity. Do not drill, modify or transfer a rack based only on online photos. For Toyota's fourth-gen rack, the 2025 SR5 OEM roof-rack guide shows why the cab and VIN still matter after the generation matches.
