Will 265/75R16 Tires Fit a Stock 2021 Tacoma SR5 Without Rubbing?

Start with the correct stock specification

Toyota’s 2021 Tacoma source book lists P245/75R16 with the SR5’s 16-inch wheel configurations; P265/70R16 appears on particular other packages. That distinction matters: “2021 Tacoma” is not a single factory tire baseline. Check the 2021 Tacoma source book.

Use the actual tire dimensions, not just its sidewall label

For a concrete example, the Falken WildPeak A/T4W in 265/75R16 is listed at 31.7 inches in overall diameter and 10.5 inches in section width on its measuring rim; the LT version is listed at 31.9 inches and 10.8 inches. Those are not interchangeable clearance cases. Compare the specified 265/75R16 dimensions.

Why a simple yes or no is unreliable

Nominal size is not the whole tire. Different tire models and load ranges can vary in actual diameter and section width, as the Falken example shows. Wheel offset changes where that tire sits relative to the liner, mud flap, body mount and upper control arm. Alignment/caster and full compression can expose a conflict that does not appear when parked.

The buying decision

If your requirement is no rubbing anywhere, confirm the exact tire SKU on the exact wheel and test at full steering lock and intended suspension travel before treating it as compatible.
